Personal Relationship With God ÿ

A personal relationship with God goes beyond reading the Bible or going to Church. It goes beyond bringing our prayers to him like a shopping list.

Like all personal relationship it requires both parties ( God & You) to spend time getting to know each other. You can learn the Biography of some ones life but that does not mean that they are your friend or that you have a relationship with them.

A personal relationship with God needs to be grounded by interacting with him. Not just reading about the great things that God has done, but doing them with him. Not just interacting with God`s family, but by becoming part of the family. In a personal relationship we do things that both parties like to do, we talk about our fears, our troubles and we celebrate the victories.

God wrote the Bible so that you could get to know him.
God gave us church so that we could get to know his family.
God gave us prayer so that he could talk with us.
God gave us worship so that we could sit and understand.
God gave us praise to adjust our attitudes.
